  • 4 markers
    • 2 very clear and easy points
    • Describe them using data 
  • 9 markers 
    • One big paragraph or two slightly smaller paragraphs 
    • Explain explain explain (chain of reasoning)
    • If you get stuck, think: 
      • Why did this happen
      • What happens next
    • Use 0, 1 or multiple diagrams if appropriate 
  • 15 markers
    • Same as 9 marker but 2 solid paragraphs 
  • 25 markers 
    • Introduction: definitions if relevant and explain your CRITERIA to answer the question e.g. if it solves the market failure or causes government failure, efficiencies, macro objectives, conflicts.
    • Explain a point in a lot of detail and then evaluate it in a lot of detail
    • Explain another point in a lot of detail and then evaluate it in a lot of detail
    • Repeat this (optional)
    • Conclude by explaining your best argument and why it is the best one. Make sure you have ANSWERED the question
